Ordering and payments

We only accept payments in Pounds Sterling. We regret that we cannot handle foreign currencies other than through our website checkout which will convert to sterling at the prevailing exchange rate on the day of purchase using our secure server.

We also accept personal cheques supported by bank card details, for this payment method please email us through the Contact Us link with details of the items you wish to purchase.

Privacy policy

The information you give us is only for the purpose of processing your order. We do not release or share this information with anyone, except when we believe we are required to do so to comply with the law or legal process, enforce our user agreement, or protect the rights, property or safety of Romance at Florence House or other persons or entities.

We do maintain paper records of all transactions for a maximum of six years for internal accountancy purposes. The payment process is handled securely by Paypal which uses the highest 128-bit encryption standard and prevents confidential information being intercepted by a third party. All security information is removed from the server after a two month period.

We may update our privacy policy from time to time please check back here occasionally to find the latest information.

Returns Policy

These terms and conditions are designed to protect both you as the customer and us the supplier.

Please note for reasons of health and hygiene that we are unable to refund or exchange earrings for pierced ears and we are unable to refund shoes where they have been worn or soles have been scratched. For all other products which are in perfect condition and faulty items please return within 14 days of purchase for a replacement or refund.

All items are checked for quality before they are dispatched, if however you receive items which have poor workmanship or have a manufacturing fault we will be happy to deliver a replacement or refund the cost including postage and packaging. For items which are returned as not suitable packaging and shipping costs will be charged for a replacement item original postage and packaging costs will not be refunded.

No refund will be issued on postage and packaging for any items which are returned to us for a refund where goods are unsuitable.

Before returning any item you must email us within 48 hours of receiving your delivery, if you do not notify us accordingly, we shall have no liability for such failure or defect. When we have been contacted during this time frame we will firstly send you a return form, this will need to be completed with the following information: Full name and address, product code, description and quantity, your reason for return and whether you require a refund or replacement. All returned orders need to be sent by recorded delivery as a form of proof of delivery to us. All items must reach us in the original packaging with labels. Please also include a copy of your receipt from the original order.

We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal usage conditions, failure to follow instruction (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the ordered goods.

Refunds will be issued in the form of the original payment.

No refund or exchange will be issued on sale goods.

Shipping Policy

UK - orders will be sent via Royal Mail first class recorded delivery. A signature will be required. Your order will be dispatched within 21 working days. We regret that we will be unable to deliver on Saturday or Sunday. Orders which are over £80 will be free of charge within the UK. All other deliveries including packaging within the UK cost £4.95.

EU - orders (Eurozone Countries) will be delivered by Royal Mail first class recorded delivery. A signature will be required. Your order will be dispatched within 21 working days. This service will take approximately 21 days depending on your location. Postage and packaging will vary for items requiring delivery in the EU, for further details on costs please contact us.

All ordered goods will be delivered to the address detailed in the online order only.

Romance at Florence House shall not be liable for any delay in delivery.
